Postdoctoral fellowship at CEMEF : Experimental study of dispersion mechanisms in extrusion-mixing processes

The post-doctoral project will be devoted to experimental studies of dispersion mechanisms of mineral fillers within a polymer melt matrix. The post-doctoral researcher will have to carry out experimental tests, both at the laboratory scale and on our industrial partner’s pilot line, in order to study the influence of process parameters on distributive (spreading out fillers within the matrix) and dispersive (breaking of agglomerated fillers) mixing efficiencies. Microscope analyses on the extruded material will be carried out to quantify precisely its resulting microstructure.

The post-doctoral researcher will work together with two other post-doctoral researchers and a phd student that will perform other experimental work and computational studies.
