The Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science at the University of Alberta invites applications for a postdoctoral fellows term position in Functional Food and Nutraceuticals targeting on high-value utilization of eggs.
The postdoctoral fellow will be working independently or collaboratively on research projects on characterization of bioactive egg components and human health through extraction, structural elucidation and biological activity evaluation. Applicants should have a PHD degree in area of Human Nutrition, Food Science or Biochemistry with research experience and knowledge in human nutrition, protein chemistry (bioactive peptide), enzymology, cell culture and mass spectrometry. Applicants should have good verbal and written communication skills, and should be prepared for independent research activities, writing papers and scientific reports. Salary will be commensurate with experience and performance.
