PhD position Philosophy
The Formal Epistemology Research Group invites applications for a TVöD 13 (50%) position for a PhD student in Philosophy. Starting date and duration (up to 4 years) are flexible. Salary according to TVöD depends on experience, but is approximately USD 25.000.- per year.
The Formal Epistemology Research Group is funded by the German Research Foundation for a period of six years from January 1, 2008, to December 31, 2013. It is affiliated with the Department of Philosophy and hosted at the Zukunftskolleg at the University of Konstanz.
The dissertation topic should cover the project Belief and Its Revision.
Applications including a CV, a writing sample of at least 5.000 words, and at least two letters of recommendation should be submitted by September 30, 2008 and preferably by e-mail to:
