Assistant Researcher position in Chemistry
The Centro de Química da Madeira (CQM), University of Madeira, Madeira Island, Portugal, invites applications (M/F) for one research position (five years non-tenure position, base salary: 43k€/year) in Chemistry to develop research work in the framework of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Mass Spectrometry and Nanotechnology Portuguese Networks and to promote CQM’s strategic scientific areas (Materials and Natural Products) A complete list of equipments available at our Research Centre can be displayed at. http://cqm.uma.pt/equipments .
The candidates must have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or in closely related fields, obtained three or more years ago, relevant post-doctoral research experience, have an excellent track record of publications in SCI journals and have the ability to integrate well in a multidisciplinary and multicultural research team.
Candidates are expected to pursue an independent research career and should be also prepared to coordinate research projects, supervise post-graduate students and obtain external funding.
Candidates will be screened according to their scientific merit, relevance of their curriculum vitae to the CQM’s strategic scientific areas and excellence/feasibility of the research plan submitted.
