UK. School of Translational Medicine

We have an exciting research opportunity to work in the Dermatopharmacology Unit. This is a clinical trials unit devoted to running clinical studies in patients with dermatological disease and in normal volunteers. You will assist in the investigating of dermatological diseases, the design and co-ordination of clinical trials (phase I-IV) of new therapies for inflammatory skin disease and learn how to apply for Ethics Committee Approval of clinical studies.

The work is divided between contract industry funded clinical trial research assessing new therapies for skin disease and basic science led dermatopharmacology and tissue procurement.

Applicants should be post MRCP/Junior Doctors (SHO level and above) who have an interest in dermatology and clinical trials and may wish to consider a career in Dermatology. Registration with the General Medical Council is essential.
