Scholarship Description
UTS Science is seeking bright young scientists to take up 10 PhD scholarships within the newly created Plant Functional Biology & Climate Change Research Cluster (C3). Scholarships are valued at $25,000 per annum (tax free) for 3 years. UTS Science also offers an annual grant of $5000 for conference attendance or overseas research collaboration, $2000 annual research support, individual laptops and workspace, new state-of-the-art labs and equipment and the opportunity to work with world-class researchers.

Availability
This scholarship is offered dependent on funds to 10 people. Open for applications from September 1, 2008 until October 31, 2008.

Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD32000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent.
