The Institute of Environmental Geology at Braunschweig Technical University offers the position of a Research Assistant (EG 13TV-L 50%)/PhD position
The applicant should hold an excellent master or diploma degree in the field of environmental sciences (preferably environmental geochemistry, limnology or sedimentology). Experience in analytical environmental chemistry is desirable.
The position is initially for two years with possible extension to three years and should start April 01, 2008. The successful candidate will be part of the Geochemistry Group and will work in the field of “Biogeochemical cycling of trace elements in lakes and wetlands with special emphasis on the role of NOM”. The Institute of Environmental Geology is part of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, which covers a broad variety of Institutes working in the fields of environmental geology, geochemistry, geoecology, earth system sciences and hydro- and civil engineering.
